Curve Fashion Festival 2017

Curve Fashion Festival is amazing on so many levels, first you get to see new seasons items with brands that you love. You get to talk to the brands themselves as well. Fashion shows give you inspiration on how to wear the clothes you have fell in love with, but what I love the most about it is that you get to meet amazing people you have seen online, from Instagram, Blogs or Twitter.

This year was my second time attending and this year was so much bigger then ever, I love that this event is growing and growing because it proves us fat girls and boys are here and we aren't going anywhere.

As soon as I walked in I made my way straight over to Lindy Bop stand. I have always loved Lindy Bop clothing, I am such a vintage girl at heart and love nothing more then a 50s style dress with a petticoat. Trust me this season is going to knock your socks off. Not only are Lindy Bop giving you utterly gorgeous clothes but they are also moving into the home too, so pop over and check them out.

I first spotted this outfit and just died, it is amazing I love it and I need it in my life, not only is it perfect for Autumn Winter but the jumper is so soft. The skirt is so nice the love the top of it comes over the belt it is such a nice detail. Perfect for walks or a nice day out.

The girls are the stall were all lovely and just as nuts about Lindy Bop as I was (well maybe more then me since they worked there). One girls there was called Sophie and she was showing me the new lines (which you can see on the rail to the left of the picture above). I went through and picked out some of my favourite pieces. Including a dress with little Heidi like looking characters on.

This skirt I managed to get my hands on, I have written a review of it and you can find that here.

Another stall I fell in love with was Live Unlimited London, I got the chance to se some of there Autumn Winter line and fell in love with a coat they had, it is gorgeous, its blue with a removable fur shrug going round it which is so unbelievably soft, I just wanted to stand and stroke it all day and probably would have done given half the chance.

The other things I got to do at Curve was to listen to the amazing Grace and Megan talk about being influencers. Both girls are such an inspiration and they do really seem so down to earth.

I also got to meet Megan a little later on when I got her book signed. I have loved Megan's Instagram for such a long time, she is such an inspiration and if you are ever having a down day with your body confidence she is the person you need to look for. Since I have began to read her book I have been boosted up 10 times more then before and I am not even 100 pages in yet.

Like I said before she is a genuinely nice person and so so sweet.

I also got to meet up with these awesome ladies!!!

Woo is the world ready for two Charlottes!!!!

Sam is such a sweetheart, no matter when we meet she always gives me a good selfie!

I loved Leahs glitter, it honestly made me think she looked like a mermaid.

First time I ever met Rosie, and I think I may have scared her (oops) I saw her as I was leaving and just sort of yelled omg can I have a selfie with you! So Rosie if your reading this I am sorry I was just super excited. We then spoke about how I can improve my victory role skills since my curls didn't last the day.

I also met Tess Holiday, this is the third time I have met her and she was lovely, she signed her book and even gave Paul a handshake.

Without a doubt this is my favourite picture that gets taken every year at Curve, it is organised by the lovely Debz, and it includes the most amazing group of women u will ever meet, they are all beautiful, creative, honest and down right SEXY!!!! This is the big blogger picture taken so again thank you so much Debz for organising it every year.

All in all Curve was AMAZING this year, not only did I get to see (and buy) gorgeous clothing, I got to meet new people and catch up with old friends. If someone has never been to Curve I really do recommend it, don't be nervous to go alone either trust me you are welcomed with open arms. Also next year if you see me grab me for a selfie I want loads with everyone haha.

Thank you guys so much for reading.

Love you lots

Great Northern Wedding Show

Hello Everyone,

For those who don't follow me on social media, I would like to let you know that I have gotten engaged since I last posted on here. Also hit that follow button for instagram haha, I post almost everyday.

Anyway I have been having a lot of wedding fun, looking at dresses, find ''The Dress". Looking at venues, finding the venue, bridesmaids dresses and so on and so on.

One of the things I have wanted to do is go to a wedding fair, to look at the few things we still weren't sure of, like photographer, suits and a couple of other things. So Paul found the Great Northern Wedding Show at the USN arena in Bolton. I made sure I booked the day off and we went.

The event is organised by a company called Little White books (I will link all websites and social media below). A huge positive for this event is if your pre booked it was free entry, even if you just turned up on the day it was only £2 per person to get in, so BARGAIN!!!!

Another big draw for me, because lets face it free stuff is amazing, the first 500 brides to turn up on the day would get a free goodie bag. So as you can imagine I made Paul wake up early to make sure we got there with plenty of time to spare so I could get myself some freebies.

With over 120 stalls with suppliers of suits, wedding dresses, cake bakers, photographers and table dresses (to name but a few) it is the perfect place for any bride and groom to go and get a good deal and some ideas.

We got there for about 10.40 and oh ye I got a goodie bag haha! Inside was sweeties (always good) a biscuit, a "Top Five Breakfasts Tips'' for the big day which included a nice peppermint tea bag, a sample of TRESemme Beautiful Full Volume pre wash conditioner and shampoo, a little pack of natural petal confetti, a wedding day SOS kit with a couple ear buds and a cotton pad (which I think is such a good idea, I never even thought about having an SOS kit). Finally it came with a show guide, a copy of Little White Books magazine and M&S cake book. It was all topped off with this lovely ''I'm a Great Northern Bride'' bag, and considering how much stuff we left with it is a lot stronger then it looks.

There were another two items in the bag but I have chosen not to include them, there were a protein shake and a meal replacement bar. As a plus size bride who has no intention of loosing weight, I thought this was not really needed. I understand that some women will want to loose weight before their wedding but I am not one of them.

So we went inside and wow just wow.

As a little side note I would just like to say I have only chosen to cover a small amount of companies there. They are the ones that I looked at the most and so that is why I chose to take pictures and do this post so I can show you what I like.

Our first stop was a beautiful stand that makes fairy centre pieces, they are a company called Enchanted Wedding and they are honestly so lovely and so nice. We even asked them about our wedding (since we have our theme) and they said that they can do a custom piece for us if we get in touch with them. Since we are getting married in 2018 she said that she would have plenty of time to think about what we would want.

As you can see they make little fairy scenes inside large wine glasses as centre pieces. This one is one of the smaller glasses. You cant see it properly but there is also little signs inside saying the bride and grooms names. They look so personal and since each one is made for each bride and groom it is such a personal touch for your wedding. The other picture shows the buckets you can have as a table planner, which I think is so original and such a fun thing for your guests to look at to find their table places.

Like I said before Sarah the lady that makes them is so lovely and so creative, and I think these are such a creative individual item to have for your wedding.

The next stall we went to I got so excited about, it is something I have never thought of but I saw it got excited ran over and asked to take a picture. Its a company called Polka Pops which is ran by a lovely lady called Amy and they are CAKE POPS!!!!

These are AMAZING and they taste so good too (there were samples and yes I had to try them research purposes only of course haha). Not only are they brilliant but they are also award winning so well done Amy. I think these are such a cute idea for wedding favours for your guests. There were even head shaped ones so if you wanted to you can even get each guests head made and they could be part of the table seating plan. The biggest cake pop stand there was this Alice in Wonderland one, each cake pop is so individual, you can really see the time and effort Amy puts in to making them. So cute!!

Another company I spoke to is called Brides Little Helper and honestly they really are. I have made my own save the dates and am in the process of writing and getting them sent out, but this company is such a brilliant idea to get it all done in the same place and have the same designs for everything.

Brides Little Helper is a stationary and venue dresser, so not only can you get your save the dates and invites from them you can also have these very cool light up signs. On the stall they had the light up Mr and Mrs sign. I do like them but they're just not for me, but only because of a really weird reason.
I spent time in front of these signs taking pictures and talking to Paul and it get so hot next to them. We are getting married in July and it is hot enough at the time of the year without adding to it. Yes such a weird reason I know.

What I was interested in is their stationary. As I said before I already have our save the dates but they were showing things I hadn't even thought of, like a table planner that matched the invites design, its little touches like this that really tie a wedding in all together. So having a company that can do it all for you and put together a package for you is brilliant and something I will be looking into. Also a big well done to them too for winning two awards in the last two years :) well done guys.

While walking around the event you do get asked if you would like to enter competition, one of them I want to show you is this company, for all of you floral loving brides and grooms out there this is gorgeous.

The company is called Petals in Love and they specialise in Bespoke Flower letters and walls, as you can see from my picture. They are just gorgeous, the lights inside and the pinks and whites are so pretty. Not only will it be so nice in the day time but you will also have those lights for the night time too. How sweet would it be taking selfies with this behind you. Think of the striking a pose in front of the wall of flowers with all your bridesmaids. They are just so pretty and I couldn't not include them because they are just so pretty.

Lastly was the fashion show. I already have my dress (yes I plan ahead, I'm not getting married for another 2 years but its good to be organised, plus my dress is gorgeous and I love it) but that doesn't stop me from looking. These are a few dresses from Edith & Winston Bridalwear and Bridalwear by Emma Louise modelled by Nicola Lily and unfortunately I wasn't sure of the other models name, but both of you were fabulous.

(If anyone knows where I can find a head dressing like this I will be your best friend forever)

All of these dresses are just gorgeous and my camera has not done them justice. The detailing in them from the beading to the lace is just amazing. The reason I chose theses two models as appose to the rest of the brilliant models is I am plus size and although these girls are a lot taller them me, they still represent what these dresses would look like on my body, which is why I chose to cover just there two companies who do plus size bridal wear. They wont make me look bigger them I am, they are cut so nicely and sit so well on the body that anyone is just going to look gorgeous in them. So well done to both companies and thank you for showing off these dresses.

Not forgetting the boys out there, I got a couple of pictures of the grooms and page boy suits. These are action shots because they all did the YMCA on the stage which I couldn't stop laughing at, and the two page boys were adorable. Such little cheeky chaps.

This was my first ever Wedding Show and I loved every minute of it, I have never said my wedding date or written my emails out as much as I did yesterday and at one point talking to a photographer I totally said I was getting married in 2014 apparently, because I had said it so many times I got so mixed up, but I loved it. It was such a fun day out and was so good talking to different people about things I hadn't even thought about. So thank you so much to Little White Book, for organising the event and thank you to all of the companies (and not just the few I have named here) for attending. You made this bride to be feel very special indeed.

I hope I have given you all a few things to think about for your own wedding, I know it has for me.

Health Update

Hi guys

I hope your all doing really good, I just wanted to give you a little update on my health situation.

Ok so my last post I told you all how I was on my last day on my antibiotics, well I was still in a lot of pain last week, I also found that my tummy was getting swollen, I mean I know I'm a curvy girl but you know when something is wrong, as well as that i also was going dizzy so i decided to go back to the doctors.

My doctors is a big surgery as so you tend to see lots of different doctors, which can sometimes be a bit of a pain in the bum, explaining everything to two or three different doctors, but I went in and saw the new doctor.

He ended up giving me an internal examination, which by the way was embarrassing since he was a rather cute doctor, he took a couple of swobs to go for testing, and ended up telling me I had an infection and the swelling of my tummy and the dizziness was all to do with the infection in my cervix.

He put me on two lots of new antibiotics and also an anti inflammatory to help my tummy to stop swelling up, he then gave me another few days off.

So it is Tuesday today and I am due back to work on Thursday so I thought to get used to being at work little by little I would go for walks and things to build myself up for work. Yesterday I had gone for a walk and my tummy started getting really bad cramps in the afternoon so I wanted to check with the doctor what pain killers I could take to deal with the pain.

I called the doctor today and this is where I am getting quite angry, I spoke to a very nice doctor, he is the doctor who started the surgery and what he told me has really made me mad. When I first had my colposcopy the clinic said i would be able to get back to work the following day, the next doctor told me to rest for a week, and then the next told me to take the new medication and rest. So today I spoke to another doctor,  he told me he didn't understand why I hadn't been signed off for more time then I had been, that what I had been through was very hard on my body and that I needed to rest, and that sometimes these things can take up to 3 weeks to recover from, so not only was the clinic wrong but I have now been signed off work for another few days to rest.

I told one of my friends about this and she defiantly hit the nail on the head with saying the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and that I could have cause myself more damage, I am really not happy. I don't know what to do now apart from rest which is what I have been doing.

I am so angry, I cant go back to work, I feel like a let down to the guys I work with because I honestly want to go back, but I know if I do I am going to be in so much pain.

I am going to be hearing off of my doctor on Friday to have a follow up talk and to give me my test results from the swobs he took, so maybe I can talk to him about it a little more, but I am really not happy

Have any of you ever been through this??? If so maybe you can email me at

this is my new email for my blog, if you have any questions or any advice or even if you would like to request a blog for me to do then email me :D

I hope you guys have a great few days

Talk soon

Girls Please Read

Hi Guys and Gals

This is going to be a bit of a wordy blog but it is very important that you take a few minutes to read it guys so please read on.

In the UK once you reach the age of 25 you are meant to go for a cervical smear, I had been putting mine off for so long, but one day when I was with the nurse I spoke to her about it, she managed to calm my nerves and I booked an appointment for a few days later.

So I went in and saw another nurse, who talked me through what was involved. I wont give u all of the gory details, all I will say is it is nothing compared to what I was worrying about, I was so scared it was going to hurt and all kinds of things, but trust me its doesn't. Yes ok it is a little uncomfortable, but no pain.

So I left and thought omg how easy was that, I sort of got on with work and didn't really think about it because I had a lot of work to do.

I got home one night and I saw the letter, I opened it and all I could see was the word ''abnormal''. I couldn't focus on anything else, all I could see was this word and I started to panic. I gave the letter to my mom and she read it, she tried to clam me down by saying that they didn't know what it was and so it could be nothing.

It turned out that I had something call low grade dyskaryosis and the cells they had taken on the smear had been infected, they didn't know how many cells were effected tho.

The letter said they had booked me an appointment for a coloscopy which is a very big word for a magnifying glass, it gives the doctor a better view of your cervix, to see how many of my cells were infected, and which treatment I would need to sort this out.

There were three out comes of this procedure, CIN1 where only a small amount of cells are infected, they can sometimes leave these to sort themselves out as the body will fight off the infection by itself. CIN2 mean a little more cells are infected and I may need treatment, CIN3 means a lot of my cells are infected and I would defiantly need treatment to remove the infection. What I would like to point out now is that this is NOT a sign that I have cancer, it is a sign of cells that can possibly develop into cancer, the doctors are not looking for cancer just things that could possibly lead to it.

I am not gonna lie, I was petrified, I have never been so scared in my life, and the weeks leading up to the coloscopy were some of the worst of my life.

On the day I went to the Womens hospital in Birmingham, and was shown into the room by the nurse, I was put into this big chair, with stirrups in, I put my legs on them and lay back, the chair lifted and to be honest the only thing I was thinking the entire time was ''OMG everyone in this room can see my foof right now''.

The nurse was lovely she was asking me normal question but was also talking me through what the doctor was doing. Then out of no where the nurse said ''Ok the doctor is going to take a biopsy now'' my heart sort of skipped a beat, I had no idea he was going to take a biopsy, and it scared me so much, the nurse told me I would feel a pinch, and the first time they did it, it was just that sort of like having a needle prick but obviously in a more sensitive place.

Ok so this may put a few people off but please don't let it this is just my experience. The next biopsy was totally different, I wasn't prepared for it and it was a shock and felt so much more painful then the first, imagine about 3 needles all in one spot, it really did hurt, at this point I ended up jumping and then nurse sort of had to grab me and calm me down and tell me it would be ok. Of course all I was thinking was 'ye right easy for you to say I bet no one has shoved a needle in you foof before!' But of course I was polite and just sort of winced at her.

Once it was over they put this mustardy colour paste there to stop any bleeding as it recovered itself.

The doctor told me that I would be fine to return to work and that I would get some pain that was like a period pain and that I should just take my normal pain relief.

The next day was uncomfortable but I took my pain killers and it seemed to ease off. The Friday tho it sort of hit me like a truck, I went into work and ended up crying in front of one of the girls I work with, when the other team leader came in she said for me to phone the doctors since I might have an infection.

That afternoon I went into the doctors and she said that my cervix may have gone into shock because of what it had happened, since the cervix is the most sensitive part of my body, she told me I need to rest and relax, she gave me a week off work and some antibiotics, since it turned out that yes I had an infection, and said if the pain hadn't gone by three days later I was to go in and see her.

Tomorrow is the last day I am to take the antibiotics and I am still in a little pain, not as much as I was but still in pain.

I was told I was going to hear of my test results in the next couple of weeks and I'm not gonna lie I am so scared, it is like being at the top of a cliff and not knowing whats gonna happen, its that scared feeling you get when someone says 'we need to talk' I constantly have a lump in my throat and I know it wont go until I hear back.

The reason I have written this blog is because I want to make all girls aware that this is something that can happen to anyone. I am 26 years old I should have gone to my first smear last year and I didn't and I was an idiot because of it.

September is Gynecological awareness month and I am wanting to raise as much awareness as possible.

There is a campaign going on at the moment called #nofeargosmear

below are a few links to look at :

Please Please girls if you are in the age for your countries to go get this done then please do, if you are younger but you think there is a problem go and see your doctor, they will not judge you or make you feel silly. They are there to help us, so please girls go!!!

Love you lots
