Why I HATE Diets!!!!

Hi Guys

I hope your all ok.

So something has really been bugging me a lot since the 1st January and it is the word DIET!!!!!!

Every time I walk into a shop which sells magazines all you see is front pages full of

Ok I have no problem with people who want to work out, eat well and lose weight, but why is it that we need diets??? How about head lines like, Healthy Eating Plans, How to Portion Control, Changing Your Eating Habbits.

Don't get me wrong I am not a hater of people getting healthy, if someone wants to logically sit down and think I am not happy I need to change the way I eat, then all well and good but why do you need to diet? Take a look at what your eating and see where you can make changes. Maybe you are eating the right things but your having too much. I know for me my portion control is something I struggle with, but if I was that unhappy about the way that I look then I would do something about it.

I have been on a load of diets, and I have found that they (for me at least) don't work. My main ones tend to be the shake ones (not gonna mention any names because there is a lot of them out there) and for me I find that as soon as you come off of them, I gain the weight back twice as fast as I lost it.

Please understand me that this is from my opinion only and I know there will be people out there who will totally disagree with me, but I think that it would be a much more helpful way to everyone who does want to change, for magazines to help people with healthy eating and planning and offering advice about portion control and changes for junk food cravings for those days when you do just want to binge.

Maybe even join up with gyms offering there subscribers a special rate, lists for local get fit classes, so people can talk to others in the same situation as them.

I just find plastering DIET all over your magazine is silly, to me it seems like a quick fix, you wont be able to keep to a diet for the rest of your life, and when you come off it if you gain the weight back you feel like you failed and do it again, it becomes this whole yo-yo dieting. Where as if you change your life style it is a much easier way, you can still have that cheeky take away or chocolate, because it isn't being strict on yourself, its about knowing where to draw the line.

As I have said I will probably get people totally disagreeing with me and kicking up a fuss, and probably weight bashing me because of how I look, but as I have said before I am happy with the way I look, so I see no reason why I should change. I am talking about the people that do want to change and don't know where to start. I am also not knocking any particular weight loss program as I have not mentioned any names. What I am saying is that I hate the word Diet I don't think that they work and from personal experience from what I have used, I find that as soon as I stopped I gained again. If  I did want to change the way I look, I would concentrate more on what I am eating, like having more vegetables, how much I am eating, cutting out snacks and getting more exercise.

So what I guess I am saying is I think it would be more beneficial for magazines to offer a more healthy way for people to control their eating, offering them long term solutions rather then a quick fix.

Anyway rant over.

See you soon

Superdrug and Poundland Haul

Hi Guys

I hope your all ok :D

I guess you guys are lucky this week, as I said yesterday I am planning on blogging at least once a week but this week you are getting not one not two but THREE yes THREE blogs YAY!!!

This blog is going to be a little haul. A few weeks ago I put a picture up on my instagram, which showed a couple of bags when I went on a shopping trip and I wanted to show you lovely people what I bought.

So my first stop was Superdrug, I have had it in my head for a while that I have wanted to change my hair colour, so I popped in to have a look and I found a colour I loved.

This is the colour I bought, it is Garnier Nutrisse in the colour Vibrant Red, I thought this was such a nice colour on the box, it looked like a bright colour but no too bright. Normally because I have quite thick hair I have to buy two boxes, so I did but I actually only ended up using one. When I bought these Superdrug had a 2 for £9 deal on, so if your thinking about colouring you hair check them out.

Inside the box you get 4 things, you get the developer, the colour, a conditioner and gloves. The other reason I chose Garnier is because they smell so nice. I have coloured my hair quite a lot and most of them smell so bad but this was so nice, such a sweet smell. Sadly the outcome of the colour wasn't as bright as I would have liked, but I have had it on now for a while and the colour is growing on me so overall even thought it wasn't what I thought, it is still a nice colour.

The other thing I needed was foundation. I am a huge sucker for L'Oreal True Match foundation, it is the only one I have tried so far that has matched my skin so well. I have a weird skin colour its like a really pale pink, and so most foundations are a little bit too dark for me but L'Oreal's Rose Ivory is perfect.

I think Superdrug were having a very good day when it came to their deals because it was 3 for 2 on L'Oreal, so I ended up buying two foundations, I did try and look for the concealer they do as well but they didn't have my shade. I didn't want to waste the deal, so I decided to get myself a new nail varnish (because the box full I already have is totally not enough).

OMG I am now in love with L'Oreal nail varnish, I have literally worn this since I bought it and it hasn't chipped or anything. I got Scarlet Vamp 404 and I am in love, I need to find a lipstick that matched this because it is just to die for. I used my Sally Henderson base coat and MUA top coat, which I normally use and most of time my nails chip but these haven't. I would totally recommend it and it is only £4.99, they have some amazing colours.

So I got very excited when I went into my local Poundland, I have known about their make up range for a while and when I walked in I found that they finally have a section for it in my store YAY. I wanted to try it out and give my honest opinion and see if it is good quality. Sadly I think everyone had heard about it before me as they only had dark foundations and orange lipsticks left, orange lipstick is nice but I just don't think it would suit my skin tone. So I will keep looking and give a blog about them in the future so watch this space :D

I went into Poundland because of my new obsession and that is vacuum packed bags, I love them, (yes my life is sad) I think there amazing. I have a lot of stuff because I used to live in a house but when I had to move back in with my parents I suddenly had to fit everything in my room so they have been a life saver.

I had seen the adverts on tv for the big packs that are like £29.99 but you get loads but when I saw them in poundland I thought ooo give them a go, and trust me that work exactly the same.

I bought two packs, a pack of 2 in are medium size, and then a large pack aswell, which is huge. I managed to pack so much into the large and it is now under my bed with all the items I use every know and again, I use the 2 medium for my bed sheets. When they are vacuum packed it takes the air out but it doesn't make your items smell or anything, they just stay exactly the same. I would say especially this time of year, that they are amazing for things like big jumpers. You can always rotate your wardrobe so you are able to vacuum pack all of your big bulky jumpers and coats ready for next year. I totally recommend these.

I am so proud of myself as well I found an amazing bargain when I went to the checkout. They had these little Black Leather look ottoman's behind the counter and when you spend £3 you can have the ottoman for £8 normally on its own it would be £18.

It is totally flat pack, and it pops straight up and I love it.

I love it, it matches my bed frame perfectly, and fits at the end of my bed. I have used it for storing my bed sheets in the vacuum pack. I love this so much that I am thinking of going back and getting another so it is nice and symmetrical hehe. The lid has the leather feel to it and the sides are a canvas material.

So the last thing i bought was just a little treat for myself and that was these babies

Hehe, I am obsessed with caramel and I love these so I decided that treating myself to make up just wasn't enough so I got this too. They are LUSH!!!

So guys that is it for this haul, I hope you like it and I hope its given you a little insight into a couple of products.

See you soon

New Year Changes

Hi Guys

I hope you have all had an amazing start to the year and if not don't worry you still have 12 months to make this year brilliant.

So this year I am taking total control of my life, I haven't really done this before. I have always done the ''New Year New Me'' thing and then given up on it before January has even ended.

This is totally different this is New Year same old me, but I have a plan.

Firstly (drum role please) I am starting my Youtube channel (WOOP WOOP), I am planing on uploading my videos soon, I'll be putting the link up soon so when I do click it hit the subscribe button and you will have a first look at my videos.

Secondly I have decided that every month I am going to set myself some goals, this month they are:

1. Get a new job

I had to leave my previous job because of medical problems but I am hopefully getting that sorted out on Wednesday this week, (I will fill you in on another blog). So my big thing this month is finding a job.

2.Write at least one blog a week

You guys are amazing for reading my blog and I love you all for it, and so I am going to be writing a new blog and publishing it every Monday for you guys, I may even spoil you and put a couple more up hehe.

3.Start my YouTube Channel

This is a big thing for me, I wanted to start one a few years ago but I was too worried but now I am more confident and I love the idea of doing it so this is another part of me you guys can see, so like I said check it out and subscribe :D.

4.Say one positive thing about myself each day

I am a big body positive person, I believe that you should love the body you are in, if you are unhappy you are the person who can change it, but if you are happy then tell yourself. LOVE YOURSELF.

Telling myself one positive thing a day was how I got to love myself, so I will continue. From telling myself that I have a very cute nose, to what an amazing job I have done on painting my nails, yes it may sound silly but compliment yourself and it makes you happy and a bit more confident. Maybe you guys can do it and let me know how it goes.

So that is January's goals, have you guys got any?? Let me know and maybe we can help each other keep track of them and help each other out with keeping on track.

Like I said this is New Year but same old me, only I suppose a bit more organised.

See you soon
